First Person Point of View

The first person point of view tells the story using the pronoun ‘I’. Typically first person is used for the main character, but it can be used for a less involved character. When using first person you have access to all inner thoughts and feeling that the character is experiencing throughout the entire story. So it is up to you to create those thoughts and feelings. Maybe even make it how you would feel in that moment.

“It was times like these when I thought my father, who hated guns and had never been to any wars, was the bravest man who ever lived.” – To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
